About

inkstack is a one-person 3D print shop in Pensacola, Florida. I design and print every piece here myself. There's no warehouse and no inventory sitting on a shelf. Your order goes on the printer after you place it, in the color you picked.

What everything is made of

Every piece is printed in PLA, a plant-based plastic made from fermented starch, usually corn or sugarcane. It's rigid, light, and holds sharp detail, which makes it the right material for desk, vanity, and shelf pieces. The one thing it doesn't like is heat: keep it out of the dishwasher and off a hot car dashboard and it will last for years.

Why made-to-order takes about two days

A single piece can take anywhere from an hour to most of a day on the printer, depending on size. After it comes off the bed it gets cleaned up, checked, and packed. That's the two days. Printing to order means you get a fresh part in exactly the color you chose, and I'm not printing stacks of things nobody asked for.

About those lines

3D prints are built up in thin layers, and you'll see faint lines if you look closely. That's the texture of the process, not a flaw. What I check for is the stuff that is a flaw: stringing, gaps, warped bases, sloppy edges. Prints with those don't ship.

Custom colors and ideas

If you want a color you don't see listed, or you have an idea for something that doesn't exist yet, send me a note. Small shop, short line to the person who makes it.
